Mexican Rice¶

Ingredients¶
- 1 tbsp oil
- ¾ cups rice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 pinch of (Mexican) Orégano
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- ⅓ cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups warm chicken broth
Directions¶
- Toast rice in some oil in a cast iron pan or a wide Dutch oven
- Add in the tomato sauce, spices, simmer for 1–2′, then broth.
- Add lid and keep lid on until finished. Don’t peek!
